Ecorys Successfully completed WEST-Empowerment and Social inclusion of women in India (sponsored by Royal Embassy of Nederland).

The Royal Embassy of Nederland have evaluated the final report of project and awarded letter of satisfaction toward successful completion of project.

Project overview: The basic purposes of the assignment are: To support women entrepreneurship through the development of a model for Women Entrepreneurship Support (WES) and the establishment of a WES Centre at Janki Devi Memorial College (JDMC) for women in Delhi. The project will target women who consider becoming an entrepreneur as well as established women entrepreneurs and JDMC students. If successful, this approach can be rolled out to other states of India where similar WES Centres can be created. Services by Ecorys: Develop the Women Entrepreneurship Support Training (WEST) model along the lines above. Develop partnerships and networking with domain based agencies for fostering institutional linkages for potential start-ups Training and support to group of women who consider becoming an entrepreneur Selection of trainers, courses and steering committee Experiential learning through case studies, role plays etc Field visits and interaction with other successful women entrepreneurs Structure and design of course schedule and curriculum design for a course in developing business plans Evaluation of business plans (submitted by students) Training on financial and business linkage creation Working on sustainability of the business plans Create awareness and explore possibilities for replicating WEST model in other locations.
